High-definition video
We have been using high-definition (HD) video cameras since 2006. As you can see in the graphic below, the frame size of our high-definition cameras (the orange box) is significantly larger than the standard definition frame size. This gives us significant quality advantages over standard-definition recording.
For post-production, we use the higher-quality HD video throughout the edit process. If we are supplying video for a website then we can encode this in HD. We can also supply the HD video on blu-ray DVD for display on HD TV screens and computers or, if necessary, convert this to standard-definition for normal PAL DVD players. Stills taken from the footage are also significantly better.
